Increase native early successional habitats to benefit the New England cottontail and other wildlife on Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge. Project will create a network of volunteers for Early Detection Rapid Response of new plant invaders, develop and demonstrate low cost techniques to restore dense native shrublands, and continue native plant propagation efforts to produce material for shrubland restoration projects.
This $40,000.00 grant was awarded in leveraging a total of $40,000.00 for wildlife conservation.
