Foster pollinator stewardship in the greater Twin Cities and increase habitat for native bees. Designed as a model to be replicated by other Extension programs, the University of Minnesota will provide personalized, hands-on training based on sound beekeeping practices and provide services for landowners while collecting information on bee health to feed into national databases and educational programs.
This $75,000.00 grant was awarded in leveraging a total of $75,000.00 for wildlife conservation.
The grantee was working in The Bee Squad serves the greater Twin Cities area, Minnesota. All participants are within a 50 mile radius of the University of Minnesota with a majority of the participants less than 35 miles..
