Protect 9,500 acres of wetland, riparian, and associated upland habitats for migratory birds in the Bear River watershed near the Cokeville National Wildlife Refuge in southwest Wyoming. Project will benefit migratory and nesting birds including the sora rail, Forster’s tern, greater sandhill crane, redhead, trumpeter swan, and Wilson’s phalarope. Project will also protect habitat for sage-grouse, big game (antelope, mule deer and elk), and Bonneville cutthroat trout.
This $488,594.00 grant was awarded in leveraging a total of $488,594.00 for wildlife conservation.
