Address water quality issues by helping individuals reduce impacts through best practice sharing, outreach and education. Project will mobilize Surfrider’s volunteer water-quality monitoring, education, and advocacy program to alert citizens and officials about water quality issues and to work toward solutions by raising awareness about the dangers of plastic pollution. These efforts will reduce single-use plastics and the recycle all plastics to lessen the impacts of plastics in the marine environment and improve water quality.
