Work in partnership with Rice University and community partners to plan and conduct outreach for the creation of a Lone Star Coastal National Recreation Area. The project will create a planning study to evaluate the national significance of the 130-mile proposed area and analyze the suitability and feasibility for inclusion within the National Park System while performing outreach to communities and landowners.
This $25,000.00 grant was awarded in leveraging a total of $25,000.00 for wildlife conservation.
The grantee was working in The area under consideration for the national recreation area encompasses over 700,000 acres of outstanding natural, historic, and cultural resources along the upper Texas Gulf coast (Houston)..
