Description: Continue effort to create the first colonies of threatened Newell’s Shearwaters and endangered Hawaiian Petrels that are completely protected from terrestrial predators. Project will construct a predator-proof fence at Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge, eradicate non-native mammals from the enclosure, and translocate Newell’s Shearwaters and Hawaiian Petrels into the site.
