Description:

National Wildlife Federation will enhance 650 acres of urban monarch butterfly habitat in municipalities committed to the Mayor’s Monarch Pledge. The project will provide technical assistance and pollinator seeds and plants to municipalities throughout the eastern migratory corridor to restore 114 acres and enhance 536 acres. NWF and its partners will achieve the following outcomes: 114 Acres Restored; 336 Acres Enhanced, through municipal projects that will be 0.5 acres or larger, with most acres accounted for by parcels of land 5 acres or larger; and 5,000 Habitat Patches Restored or Enhanced (less than .5 acre) resulting in an additional 200 acres.
