Description:

Increase enrollment in and implementation of agricultural and forest best management practices - such as riparian buffers, filter strips, pollinator habitat, cover crops, and livestock fencing- to improve streams, wetlands, and groundwater resources in the Kirkwood-Cohansey Aquifer area. Project will implement 500 acres of agricultural best management practices, restore two miles of riparian buffer, and conduct outreach to 2,500 individuals.

Targeted outreach and implementation will be conducted in the Salem, Cohansey-Maurice, Cape May, Greater Hammonton, and Rancocas focus areas, as delineated in the William Penn Foundation's Kirkwood Cohansey Cluster Plan. Special consideration will go towards focus areas proposed in Phase II.
