Acquire in fee the rugged 3,716-acre Waimea Native Forest, on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii to complete the protection of the entire Waimea watershed from mountaintop to the ocean. Project will secure suitable habitat for the Newell’s shearwater, Hawaiian hoary bat, Oahu elepaio, and numerous other threatened and endangered species; as well as protect the headwaters of two major streams which flow undiverted to Waimea Bay and the Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary
