Georgia Forestry Commission will engage family forest owners in southwest Georgia to implement forest practices that improve habitat for at-risk wildlife including gopher tortoises and Indigo snakes. Partners will host management focused classes and events to educate landowners, and will provide technical and financial assistance for landowners to establish and enhance more than 2,500 acres of longleaf pine habitat.
