Develop new strategies for resource management for the sustainability of fish and wildlife resources with an emphasis on the needs of individuals that rely on these resources to support a subsistence lifestyle in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Region, the Cook Inlet/ Matanuska-Susitna watershed the North Slope Region, and Southeast Alaska. Project will hire Alaska native youth interns with traditional ecological knowledge who also speak the languages of local subsistence communities to work on conservation projects.
