NFWF Grant Profile

Develop water right leases and water management transactions to augment stream flow and critical habitat for native trout species, including bull trout and westslope cutthroat trout, in the Clark Fork River basin, Blackfoot River and Bitterroot River subbasins. Project will reconnect key tributaries to their mainstems and restore chronically dewatered stream reaches where the likelihood of significant fisheries benefits have been identified and can be monitored to assure the delivery of water.
