Employ a central California based Western Habitat Specialist for two years to increase strategic habitat implementation and stakeholder engagement in response to the declining western monarch population. Project will provide technical assistance to local farmers, ranchers, and other private landowners to implement monarch and pollinator habitat practices on private working lands, bringing 450 acres under improved management, restoring 50 acres and engaging 550 landowners.
