Description:

Translocate 20 Hawaiian petrel chicks and up to 20 Newell’s shearwater chicks to Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge, Kaua‘i. Project will provide long-term resilience for these endemic Hawaiian seabirds by establishing new breeding populations within a predator safe enclosure; additional actions include habitat restoration, social attraction to attract prospecting, pre-breeding adults and monitoring recruitment of seabirds.
