NFWF Grant Profile

Restore, stabilize, and expand important habitat for horseshoe crabs and shorebirds using proven restoration strategies to reduce erosion, combat sea level rise, and increase resilience to storms. Project will create intertidal oyster reefs at the mouth of Dias Creek to preserve and expand important horseshoe crab spawning habitat and add sand to Pierce’s Point beach to further sustain previous restoration efforts.
