NFWF Grant Profile

Leverage multiple years of tissue collection (over 850 samples) to augment view of genetic connectivity across the range of the Mohave ground squirrel. Project will obtain genotype for this species by sequencing data from across this sample set at a depth that has not yet been possible given limitations in sequencing technology and will integrate these data with estimates of habitat suitability to identify landscape and environmental features that either facilitate or impede genetic connectivity across the landscape.
