Design and produce a weighted hook for use in pelagic longline fisheries to reduce seabird bycatch in Hawaii. Project will assess the practicality, safety, and economic viability of a new longline hook design in order to increase the baited hook sink rate and reduce catch risk of black-footed and Laysan albatrosses.
