Battleship North Carolina will restore 800 linear feet of estuarine intertidal shoreline; remove 1.5 acres of impervious surface; and create 2 acres of intertidal and subtidal estuarine salt marsh habitat and 0.4 acres of new shallow water mud bottom Essential Fish Habitat. The restored intertidal vegetated shoreline and created tidal marsh will provide habitat for juvenile finfish species such as flounder, red drum, striped bass, American shad, shortnose and Atlantic sturgeon and American eel.
