Leverage a unique partnership of state, local and academic stakeholders to employ research-based best management practices and implement novel eDNA tools to combat the hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA) forest pest and maintain eastern brook trout habitat and recreation opportunities at a popular public access site in the Beaverkill Valley. The project will maintain hemlock cover and eastern brook trout habitat along 1.9 miles of river on 50 acres of public land at a popular high use area.
