NFWF Grant Profile

Restore and maintain more than 25,000 acres of longleaf pine habitat on public and private lands in the South Carolina coastal plain, to benefit birds, imperiled amphibians and other species. Project will deploy a seasonal fire crew to increase prescribed burning, host landowner learn-to-burn workshops, increase internal and partner capacity to plan and organize prescribed fire priorities and develop a 10-year conservation plan to streamline restoration and aid cooperative longleaf management.
