Description:

Restore and enhance longleaf pine and bottomland hardwood forest habitats on private lands and National Forests in south Mississippi, benefitting gopher tortoise, prothonotary warbler and other forest dependent species. Project will plant 500 acres of longleaf pine on National Forest land and provide technical and financial assistance to private landowners to restore and enhance 818 acres forest habitat and certify 50 family forest tracts into the American Tree Farm Program.
