Description:

The Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians Environmental Department proposes the development of a Tribal Wildfire Forest Restoration Fellowship Program focused on building skills in natural resources for tribal descendants while contributing to conservation goals for the Los Padres affected by the Zaca Fire.

A team of 4-6 tribal descendants from Chumash tribes will be trained in a suite of skills that will assist in meeting project goals for a variety of projects selected for the Los Padres Forest Wildfire Restoration Grant Program.
