Description:

Establish 1,100 acres of longleaf pine and enhance an additional 5,100 acres of existing longleaf habitat on private and state-owned lands in southeast Virginia. Project will establish an inter-agency burn crew to increase prescribed fire capacity, continue support of a longleaf restoration specialist to provide outreach and technical assistance to landowners, and cultivate a network of private landowners to serve as longleaf "champions."
