Survey at least 40 previously unassessed streams in the Upper Allegheny River and Sandy Lick Creek watersheds for wild trout populations, especially Eastern brook trout. The project will submit survey data to the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission to be used by the state of Pennsylvania, if appropriate, to designate streams as Cold Water Fisheries, High-Quality Cold Water Fisheries, or Exceptional Value fisheries, which provides additional protection from development activities.
