Description:

Engage the communities of the Upper Paulins Kill Watershed to develop and install green stormwater infrastructure practices, including rain gardens and porous asphalt at McKeown Elementary School and Memory Park. Project will prevent approximately 1.6 million gallons of stormwater from entering the watershed while preventing 289 pounds of sediment, 105 pounds of phosphorous, and 30 pounds of nitrogen annually.

McKeown Elementary School is located in Hampton, NJ and is the site where a 3800 sq. ft. rain garden was installed on the campus in Oct. 2016. Memory Park is located in Newton, NJ. The park contains a current WRWMG/TNC floodplain reforestation project and borders TNC's Hyper Humus restoration.
