Develop activity recognition algorithms to identify fishing activity to decrease video review time, and data storage requirements on vessels using a maximized retention bycatch monitoring approach in the New England groundfish fishery. Project will install software on vessels, document the process for incorporating automation into an electronic monitoring program, and present results in a best practices report.
