Description:

Make key improvements to the Chesapeake Bay Report Card, which has served since 2006 as the definitive source for ecosystem health status in the Bay and tidal tributaries. The project will improve the Chesapeake Bay Report Card process and product by incorporating recent lessons learned, incorporating new design elements, developing indicators for non-tidal watershed areas, and adding social, cultural, and economically relevant values.

The Chesapeake Bay watershed stretches from Cooperstown, New York south to Norfolk, VA and from Salisbury, MD to Mallow, VA. Eighteen million people in six states and the District of Columbia call the watershed home. This project covers the watershed as well as the tidal estuary parts of the Bay.
