NFWF Grant Profile

Improve management of at least 4 acres of habitat by planting native species on riparian buffers to increase stormwater management and runoff mitigation in New Orleans. Project will monitor water quality at six sites to evaluate efficacy while installing community trash and debris collection equipment at strategic sites and conducting extensive community education and outreach by training 10 teachers in watershed stewardship curriculum to engage students and families on best practices.
