The Nature Conservancy - Florida Chapter will establish 740 acres of longleaf pine and enhance an additional 30,000 acres of existing longleaf habitat on the Apalachicola National Forest and other high-priority public and private lands within the eastern panhandle of Florida and southwest Georgia. Project will improve habitat for numerous at-risk species and will support the recovery of the federally threatened Eastern indigo snake through captive breeding and release on restored longleaf pine habitat.
