The purpose of this project is to prevent degradation of trails and other land features by unauthorized motor vehicle use in the area affected by the 2009 Jesusita Fire within the Los Padres National Forest through installation of trail barriers and signage. The assessment of at least 50 unauthorized motor vehicle use sites in the project area and the improvement or installation of barriers and signs at 30 such sites will reduce erosion and invasive species spread in areas affected by the Jesusita Fire and consequential fire suppression efforts.
