Shirley Heinze Land Trust, Inc. will restore 25 acres of wetland and riparian habitat and improve public access to the Little Calumet River. Project will amplify multi-partner efforts to the Little Calumet Conservation Corridor by improving critical habitat for wildlife and providing safe public access opportunities through the addition of .25 miles of hiking trail, installation of an accessible kayak launch and clearing of a minimum of 5 miles of water trail within the Little Calumet.
