NFWF Grant Profile

Evaluate how data from long-term seabird monitoring in Alaska may be used in fisheries management, with an emphasis on seabirds as samplers of young-of-the-year/juvenile age classes of commercial groundfish (e.g., pollock, sablefish, cod) that are difficult to sample by other means. Project will advance integration of data from seabird studies with fisheries science to improve ecosystem-based fisheries management and seabird conservation.
