NFWF Grant Profile

Advance conservation efforts for the IUCN-listed Vulnerable pink-footed shearwater through direct actions to protect colonies on all three of their known breeding islands. Project will build national capacity for the Seabird Stranding Network, expand analyses of shearwaters and fishery overlap, innovate new outreach to fisherman towards adoption of mitigation gear in development, and continue community focused education and stewardship efforts.
