Construct a stainless steel predator proof fence around Hawaiian petrels at Pohakea on Kauai, Hawaii and initiate social attraction for Newell’s shearwater and Hawaiian petrel to increase the number of nesting pairs within the protected area. Project will result in the first montane nesting colony of petrels and shearwaters protected by a predator exclusion fence in Hawaii and will be crucial for the long-term survival of both species.
