Description:

Collaborate with Idaho Department of Fish and Game, along with nonprofit partners and citizen scientists, to restore ecological function to degraded forested lowlands in northern Idaho's Kootenai Valley, an east-west linkage between the Purcell and Selkirk mountain ranges. Project will improve riparian and pollinator habitat for native western toads, northern leopard frogs and bumble bees, and support connectivity for wide-ranging mammals such as grizzly bears, lynx and wolverines.
