Description:

Engage 720 pre-kindergarten-aged students and 48 of their teachers with hands-on lessons that incorporate material on shortleaf pine and oak savanna forests, riparian forests and freshwater habitats, and key umbrella species for aquatic and savanna forests. Project will increase the students’ awareness and interest in native habitats and species, as well as create and build the capacity of early childhood educators who will replicate the curricula as part of their regular classroom engagement.
