Research, develop, and install interpretive kiosks and associated web content about the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument's natural and cultural history, informing visitors of efforts to protect its natural resources, and providing wayfinding for visitors. During signage research and development, host Emerald Necklace Stewardship Program reconnaissance events at eight selected trail sites: Bear Creek Trail, Baldy Bowl Trail, Chapman Trail, Oaks Canyon, Bridge to Nowhere, Shoemaker View Area, Chantry Flat, and Switzer Falls, inviting community volunteers including local youth, families, corporate partners, civic groups, and others to assist with gathering data about trail conditions to inform final content, including taking photographic evidence of trail conditions, and selecting key sites that will best display informative kiosks. Signage will be developed and installed at Bear Creek, Baldy Bowl, Chapman, and Switzer Falls, providing a design template for signage at other sites.
