Prairie Rivers of Iowa RC&D will work with local partners to implement targeted conservation practices that provide quality habitat for endangered pollinator species via the use of Agricultural Conservation Planning Framework (ACPF), the practice prioritization spreadsheet tool, and one-on-one technical assistance in three priority watersheds in Story County, Iowa. The expected outcome of this project is increased awareness and implementation of targeted, prioritized conservation practices on at least 6,000 acres that provide both nutrient load reduction and wildlife habitat benefits within the priority South Skunk River Watershed, which is a part of the Mississippi River Basin Healthy Watersheds Initiative (MRBI).
