The Madison Soil and Water Conservation District will employ a full time employee to provide technical assistance, lead outreach meetings and distribute educational materials to connect landowners to the resources they need to create habitat for northern bobwhite, improve water quality and conserve their natural resources. Over a three year period, the expected outcomes are 45 landowners with conservation plans with recommended best practices and 1,500 acres of connected habitat for a sustainable population of the northern bobwhite and improved water quality to aid the aquatic species in the creeks and rivers.
