The San Gabriel Valley Conservation and Service Corps (SGVCC) is requesting funding for the proposed San Gabriel Watershed and Forest Revitalization Project, which will support the engagement, development and employment of local under-served young men and women who have spent limited or not time in the San Gabriel Mountains. The ultimate goal is to identify trail and watershed health and utilize the grant to address specific threats to it and by assisting with river and forest stewardship in the San Gabriel Mountains. Program participants benefits from valuable job ready skills and paid employment, and the much needed revitalization of the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument.
