Description:

The Bird Conservancy of the Rockies (Bird Conservancy) and our current private lands wildlife biologist (PLWB) in Gillette, WY will collaborate with multiple partners in NE Wyoming over 3 years to build an informed and engaged stakeholder network to achieve healthy sagebrush habitat and viable sage-obligate bird populations, including the Greater Sage-grouse (GRSG), on working rangelands. We will disseminate information about healthy sagebrush ecosystems to roughly 4,000 people via attendance at public events, giving presentations, providing technical assistance & visiting with at least 100 landowners, and holding 2-4 technical workshops leading to changed behavior of at least 30 landowners resulting in the enrollment of 15 landowners in conservation programs to enhance or restore 30,000 acres of sagebrush habitat and improve 10 miles of fencing to be more wildlife friendly.
