Hanalei NWR is a wetland refuge located on the north shore of Kauai--the Hanalei River runs through it. Kilauea Point NWR is a coastal seabird refuge which has Kahili Stream and beach access to the Pacific Ocean on the eastern boundary. Both refuges are part of the Kauai NWR Complex.
