Develop a rigorous sampling protocol to estimate the density and occupancy of wintering grassland birds in the Chihuahuan Desert including Sprague’s pipits and chestnut-collared longspurs. This project will survey NFWF impact and references sites to estimate density and occupancy of wintering grassland birds in these areas and develop a regional sampling framework for wintering grassland birds in the Chihuahuan Desert.
