NFWF Grant Profile

Implement best management practices to restore wet and dry sand habitats for red knots, whimbrel, American oystercatcher, and other shorebirds along the Atlantic Coast. Project will involve a coastwide coordination of the American Oystercatcher recovery initiative and compilation of lessons learned, and advance work to reduce the impact of predation and human disturbance on populations of breeding shorebirds along the U.S. Atlantic coast.
