NFWF Grant Profile

Conserve and restore habitat and work to reduce harvest pressures on whimbrels throughout their full life-cycle. Project will improve collaboration and coordination by establishing a whimbrel working group, improve adaptive management by developing an age-structured population model, improve population monitoring to serve as a metric of success, map critical whimbrel sites to focus on-the-ground management, and improve conditions within critical sites.
