NFWF Grant Profile

Provide education and outreach to under resourced communities in the Chicago region using regional data to identify communities with the lowest canopy, highest percent of impervious surfaces, flooding, heat island and air pollution. Project will plant 50 native trees in five communities increasing habitat for migrating birds and other wildlife and will work in the communities to protect and preserve trees and green infrastructure and train community members to care for trees on their properties.
