Promote long-term reduction in pink-footed shearwater bycatch in Chilean purse seine fisheries by embedding mitigation measures into industry and government practice. Project will build capacity through workshops with industry; trainings for net manufacturers; engagement with fisheries compliance officers to ensure that bycatch mitigation is supported and implemented both bottom-up and top-down and will establish an open database to monitor use of mitigation measures across the fleet.
