NFWF Grant Profile

Conduct Least Bell’s Vireo surveys in native riparian habitat in northern coastal drainages from Ventura and Santa Barbara north to Monterey each spring from 2020–2022. Project will help determine the current population of the state and federally endangered vireo in Ventura County and in a portion of Los Angeles County and will also determine if the vireo has expanded back into coastal portions of the historic range as well as evaluate cowbird threats and habitat condition.
