Description:

Advance longleaf pine ecosystem restoration on public and private lands in southeast Georgia through prescribed burning, forest thinning, longleaf planting, a longleaf awareness social media campaign, and restoration of native groundcover. Project will restore and enhance more than 12,000 acres of longleaf pine habitat on high-priority lands around Fort Stewart, benefitting gopher tortoise, northern bobwhite and other open-pine and grassland-dependent species.
