NFWF Grant Profile

Restore 2.1 acres of riparian buffer and 2,000 linear feet of streambank of North Fork Pine Creek in Allegheny County to mitigate stormwater impacts and improve soil health, water, and air quality while providing food and habitat for wildlife. Project will stabilize eroded stream bank with stone armoring and vegetation, remove invasive species, and plant native species of trees, shrubs and meadow mix while providing monitoring and engagement opportunities for local students and residents.
